The Application Process

At Shine Hair Studio, we make the application process simple and comfortable:

  • Step 1: Preparation

    • Wash and dry the natural hair thoroughly—no conditioner or styling products.

    • Section the hair into manageable parts, usually starting from the nape of the neck and moving upward.

    Step 2: Choose the Beads

    • Use silicone-lined microbeads or copper tubes to minimize damage and ensure a secure hold.

    • Choose bead color that matches your client’s hair for a seamless blend.

    Step 3: Inserting the Beads

    • Thread a small section of natural hair through the pulling loop tool.

    • Slide a microbead onto the natural hair using the tool.

    • Pull the hair all the way through so the bead is about 1 cm from the scalp.

  • Step 4: Attach the I-Tip Extension

    • Insert the I-Tip extension strand into the microbead along with the natural hair.

    • Use pliers to clamp the bead flat, securing the extension in place.

    Step 5: Repeat the Process

    • Continue installing the extensions row by row, maintaining clean, even sections.

    • Avoid placing beads too close to the scalp or too tight, which can cause tension or breakage.

    Step 6: Blending and Styling

    • Once all I-Tips are installed, trim and blend the extensions for a natural look.

    • Style as desired—blow-dry, curl, or straighten like your natural hair.
